Boruch Cohen

Executive Director

Boruch Cohen is the founder and manager of Sovereign Planning, a logistics and event planning firm serving the nonprofit sector. With over 20 years of experience volunteering and working with a wide range of nonprofit organizations, Boruch brings a deep passion for improving lives and a sharp eye for operational efficiency. He previously worked with the Jewish Learning Institute and has coordinated events and initiatives across the globe. Originally from Birmingham, UK, Boruch holds a bachelor's degree from the Rabbinical College of America and is an ordained rabbi. His journey into nonprofit logistics was sparked by hands-on international relief work—including a mission to Haiti in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake. Now based in New York City, he channels his diverse background into Network for Kindness, helping organizations streamline their operations and maximize impact through thoughtful, mission-driven planning.

Leora Blank

Program Manager

Leora Blank is a program manager at Network for Kindness, where she brings a deep commitment to community service and a strong background in nonprofit operations, development, and volunteer coordination. Leora began her career managing high-volume trademark portfolios for major corporations and public figures, but soon transitioned to mission-driven work— managing a food pantry and volunteer events for Met Council in Midtown, Manhattan. With several years of experience in roles at Yachad and Sefaria, Leora has developed a passion for inclusion, accessibility, and Jewish community building. Her hands-on work in the field of food insecurity continues to inform and inspire her current work, allowing her to channel both logistical expertise and personal passion into every program she leads. Leora holds a degree in English and writing from Barnard College, and finds joy in creative outlets like gardening, floral arranging, and recipe development—interests that deepen her connection to community nourishment.

Rus Yaffa Gottlieb

Outside of her work, she enjoys singing, dancing, reading, and a great cup of coffee. At Network for Kindness, she is committed to building experiences that support dignity, connection, and care.
